Warranty Policy

WARRANTY: Customers have the option to purchase warranties of different durations at a very low cost, covering all blinds, curtains, and outdoor products. The warranty promises to cover any defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser during the warranty period, provided that the products are correctly installed in residential or commercial buildings as per the provided instructions. The products must remain manually operated without any unauthorized alterations, tampering, or modifications. This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, abuse, alterations, excessive fading from sunlight, the passage of time, humidity, exposure to salty air, atmospheric changes, corrosive materials, fire, flood, or acts of nature. ShadingMaster is not responsible for shipping charges, labor costs for disassembly, reassembly, installation, damage to other property, or personal injuries. Normal wear and tear on the product is also not covered by this warranty.

All moving parts in manually operated blinds and shades are covered by the warranty for operational integrity, not the finish. Due to the inherent properties of metals, hardware, and hinges, their coverage extends solely to their functioning.

  • For products such as Zebra shades, Roller shades, Solar shades, and Shangri-La shades (hereinafter referred to as “the products”), coverage is provided under normal use, inclusive of excessive discoloration or burnout. This warranty does not apply to issues such as curling, soiling, scratching, normal fading, or loss of color intensity resulting from use.
  • For Motors (hereinafter referred to as “the products”), the warranty is provided but does not cover damage caused by customer reprogramming of motors.

Color and intensity variations within commercial tolerances are possible due to dye lots. As a result, actual colors of fabrics and materials may differ from those in sample books. Absolute consistency in dye lots as shown in sample books cannot be guaranteed.

ShadingMaster’s responsibility under this warranty is limited to either repairing or replacing, at its discretion, any part or all of the products that are determined to be defective due to normal wear and tear. ShadingMaster reserves the right to discontinue or alter product components as currently manufactured. In instances where an exact replacement part is unavailable, ShadingMaster is authorized to substitute parts of equal quality at its discretion. The effective date of this warranty is the completion date of the products’ delivery at the specified address.

When the purchase order is placed by a Dealer/Distributor, ShadingMaster holds no liability to the Warranty Holder for any loss of use. In situations where the Dealer/Distributor confirms that the defect should be covered by this warranty, the Warranty Holder can, at their own cost, arrange for product delivery to the Dealer/Distributor and subsequently to ShadingMaster for repairs or replacement. Following an inspection, ShadingMaster will determine whether the defect is covered by the warranty. If it is, the product will be repaired or replaced. If not, the Dealer/Distributor will receive information about costs and alternatives for the defect. Dealer Authorization is obligatory before ShadingMaster undertakes repair, modification, or replacement of a product not covered by the terms of this warranty. All associated costs or charges will be billed to the Dealer/Distributor, which is also responsible for collecting these charges from the Warranty Holder.

  • For indoor products this warranty remains in effect only if normal cleaning practices are regularly observed. While the products generally require minimal maintenance, occasional cleaning is essential. The recommended method involves using a soft cloth with mild detergent (non-abrasive and ammonia-free).
  • For outdoor products using a fabric surface, such as awning and retractable pergola, please follow the instructions below for maintenance.
  1. Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner to regularly remove dust, leaves, insects, and other debris from the awning. This helps prevent damage and ensures smooth operation.
  2.  Periodically inspect the mechanical components of the retractable awning, including joints and connections. Ensure they are free from rust or damage. If issues are identified, repair or replace them promptly.
  3. Awnings’ fabric can accumulate dust and dirt over time. Rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Avoid using strong cleaning agents that may damage the fabric’s color and texture.
  4. Avoid exposing the awning’s fabric or mechanical components to chemicals such as cleaning agents or pesticides, as these chemicals can cause damage.
  5. Regularly lubricate the key components of the retractable awning as per the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure smooth operation. Use an appropriate lubricant.
  6. If the retractable awning is motorized, periodically inspect the wiring and connections of the electrical components to ensure they are not damaged or worn. If issues are found, have them repaired or replaced by a professional.
  7. Make sure the retractable awning is securely installed on its support structure to prevent unnecessary shaking or swinging that could lead to damage.
  8. In windy(above level 5 wind speed), snowy weather conditions, it’s advisable to retract the awning to prevent damage.
  9. Consider conducting a comprehensive inspection of the retractable awning every season or every six months to ensure everything is in working order.
